Salish Lodge on Snoqualimie Falls
One of the great hidden treasures of Seattle, for a romantic weekend it's the best.
Bruce Cox of Stigler, OK, talks about his
recent trip to Salish Lodge in Snoqualimie.
Yago Interview: Did you like your visit to Salish Lodge?
Bruce: Exceptionally So. The falls with the spray from the mist reminds you of a visit to the coast of Ireland. Even from the veranda, the sound of the waterfalls reminds you of the power and forces of nature. The view from the restaurant at night, with the mist rising from the falls, totally envelopes you. You get the feeling that you and your dinner guest are the only two people in the restaurant. Tammy, our waitperson, made my dinner guest feel extra special about her birthday.
Yago: What about your room?
Bruce: The over-sized fireplace, king-size bed and two-person Jacuzzi tub, make it a perfect romantic week-end get-away. A special little touch, were the cookies and turned-down bed when returning to your room from the ultimate dining experience. For a romantic ambiance there were the two small candles in the event of a power outage, we used them and pretended there was a power outage.
Yago: Overall, would you recommend the lodge?
Bruce: As a first-time visitor to the lodge, it is an experience I will never forget!
