The 36th
annual Taos Fall Arts Festival
The image chosen for the 36th annual Taos Fall Arts Festival poster is a
painting titled “My Old Adobe with Red Roof” by Inger Jirby,
according to a prepared statement. "The annual poster is a key
collectible and mainstay of the festival’s fundraising," the
press release says. In response to a call for entries, the Fall Arts
jurying committee selected the image they felt was most appropriate for
a poster. “I
am very happy and feel honored to be chosen as the poster artist for the
Fall Arts Festival,” Jirby is quoted in the statement. “As a Taos
painter this is a wonderful opportunity to show my work at this exciting
event and represent the town that I love.”
Jirby’s gallery is at 207 Ledoux St. Her work is represented in
collections internationally, including permanent collections of six
major museums in the U.S., the statement reads. For more, see www.jirby.com
