Mack the knife
Most people have heard Mack the Knife.
Most people would think it was written by Bobby Darin, the singer who made it a hit. But they would be wrong.
Even the year it was written is a good question. Most people would guess the fifties – which would also be wrong.
“Mack the Knife” was written in 1928 in German by Kurt well with lyrics by Bertolt Brecht Who knew.
