Sad story. One of the lines in the song is “there never seems to be enough time to do the the thing you want to do once you find them”. His wife died 8 days later. He passed soon after.
Jim sounded like a true New York or Brooklyn neighborhood troubadour that lead a band of merry hoodlums.
His most popular song is Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown but there was so much more.
