The Visitor (1979)

This insane cult classic is a sloppy mashup of the best 70’s scifi and fantasy elements. Space Jesus fights a demonic 8-year old girl with… birds? It never congeals into a successful film, but is a wildly entertaining mess with some killer visuals and an awesome soundtrack.

The cast is oddly chock-full of great directors (John Huston, Sam Peckinpah) and Golden Era stars (Shelley Winters, Mel Ferrer, Glenn Ford). Weird set pieces, confusing montages, and a swarm of alien birds; I love this movie.
